We have designed several routes with guides for different natural Extremaduran regions with great ornithological importance. With these guides, you can design your vacations or weekend trips according to your preferences, so that you can observe the birds and natural patrimony that exist in only a few places. Extremadura lands are unforgettable. Visits guided to natural spaces and ornithological excursions á la carte (small groups, maximum it 14 present), this service includes transport to the field, nature guides, optical material such as prismatic and telescopes and assurance of civil responsibility.
Another one of our services consists of facilitating the photography or filming of different species (principally birds) typical of Extremadura by means of photography days in appropriate places.
We request that the client notify us with sufficient time because we must look for a place adapted to install the "hide" and that present enough guarantees to photograph a certain species. For example, aquatic birds, elanio blue, carrack, vultures and other big lads, black stork, buzzards ..., realizing always these services with the maximum respect and without inconveniences for the species that is wanted to photograph, because of it we never work to come out in photographs in nests and sleepy as well as other places where the inconveniences might be important.
The Monfragüe's ornithological importance owes to a great extent to the extraordinary combination of hillsides with dense vegetation, roquedos extensive opened zones, facilitating to the birds a high availability of places of refuge and of nourishment as well as of food the presence having been stated of up to 180 species of birds between(among) which they emphasize the black Vulture with 250 couples, constituting in Monfragüe the major colony of the world, tawny Vulture with 400 couples, black stork with 30 couples, Alimoche (Neophron percnopterus) with 30 couples, imperial eagle (Aquila adalberti) with a dozen of couples, also they can be observed other species nidificantes as the royal eagle (Aquila chrysaetos), the eagle perdicera (Hieraaetus fasciatus), the pecular falcon (Falco peregrinus) or the royal(real) owl (Bubo bubo), etc.
The opened Extremaduran plains constitute a fundamental refuge for birds as the buzzard (slow Otis) that relies on in Extremadura an important population formed by more than 6.000 specimens, the sisón a population of more than 100.000 specimens, forming decrees in some cases superior to all 3000 specimens, the eaglet goosefoot (Circus pygargus), with a population of 900 couples who suppose 25 % of the Iberian whole, also it is necessary to emphasize the presence in these plains of other species that skimp already in other places as the kestrel primilla (Falcon naumanni) the Iberian bargain (Pterocles alchata), the imperial sand grouse (Pterocles orientalis), the stone curlew (Burhinus oedicnemus), the fair wheatear (Hispanic Oenanthe) and other species.
