There are a number of things that will never be obtained through the new constructions (due to a larger number of imitations). Throughout the years, the walls have hidden the life and secrets of the ancient house, which creates a sense of intimacy and nostalgia, feelings that are obvious when it is lived in, making it different from the rest, the hospitable ambience only increases with the passing of the years:
-The lounge of the Plaza has vaulted roofs. It is situated close to the dining room, with a living room and a game table. If you travel with children you can watch them play in the beautiful square of the village.
– The lounge of the Conde is situated over the warehouse, with the walls of stone and vaulted roof. In a corner is the chimney, an ideal place to enjoy the heat of the fire in the company of friends or relatives, to remember old stories and to share good times, you will not forget the experience!!

The dining room has wood roofs and the original stone floors. It was formerly the kitchen of the house, with the shelves of hewn stone and holes in the wall. It makes an ideal dining room and is a very hospitable place for the humble tablecloths. You won’t want it to end!! You will feel as if you are in another era.

The kitchen of the house is completely furnished and equipped with everything necessary for a good chef (leave the cooking to them these days, but make sure that they do not burn down the house). You have an oven, microwave, electric stove, coffee pot, toaster, refrigerator, dishes, etc…Close to the kitchen, there is a smaller room, which is ideal for the children’s breakfast or for the assistants while the cook is preparing the veal. Traditionally, this room was designed to pass the time while the food was prepared.

As with any traditional house, we have a patio. One is able to sit down and enjoy the afternoon shade of the orange and lemon trees, as well as the aroma of the plants and flowers. You will be able to relax under the starry sky of Extremadura, which is ideal for intimate gatherings. The porch connected to the patio, is perfect for relaxing and having a good time on rainy days.

 CASA DEL CONDE was  constructed In 1563 ( XVI century). In 1990 it was declared:   “IN GOOD  CULTURAL INTEREST " for the Headquarters of Cultural Patrimony of the Meeting of Extremadura. (DOE n º 21 of March 13, 1990)
 In 2007, TELEVISION chose to show reports and to promote the Rural Extremadura Tourism in Europe.
Its historical importance originates in having been a house of a family closely related to the colonial settlers of America, for territories of Panama, Peru and Chile, among others.
As a consequence of Don Pedro Alonso de Hinojosa’s death, general of Gonzalo Pizarro, governor and captain of the province of Charcas, his capital was sent to Spain and with the money that his brother received from Peru, he built his new house in 1563.
In 1635, King Philip IV, granted the count's mercy to the first-born " Chaves-Mendoza and Hinojosa, " which is how the name CASA DEL CONDE originated. In honour to the first propietary count of the house, Don Juan of " Chaves-Mendoza  and Hinojosa” (s. XVII), gentleman of the Order of Santiago, we have decided to give it the name, Rural House.
